LJM Developments is proud to announce its role in a recent event supporting young people in the Niagara Region achieve their goals in becoming the first of their family to attain post-secondary education. LJM has always felt it necessary to be responsible and sustainable in its developments. Developing our young people to meet their ultimate potential by any means necessary is a great way to add to Canada’s sustainability.
Denim, Diamonds & Diplomas The Brock Leaders Citizenship Society of Brock University, recently approached LJM at a Business After 5 event held by the Niagara Chamber of Commerce at our WatervieW Sales Center. The BLCS is a young leaders group from the University that is committed to helping and improving youth potential.
As such the group is hosting the event “Denim, Diamonds & Diplomas” a gala fundraising event in honour of DSBN Academy. The fundraiser will help these deserving young public school students achieve part of their dream in attending higher learning institutes and fulfilling the mission of the school.
DSBN Academy The DSBN Academy is one of a kind in Canada. It is a publicly funded school that promotes higher education for its students by almost any means necessary. The academy accepts students who are first generations in their family to aspire to and attain higher education through outstanding academic achievements.
DSBN is part of the District School Board of Niagara and is open to students in grades six through twelve. The school runs a number of specialized programs to help students achieve their maximum potential and get them to their dream; post-secondary education.

The event was held 20 January 2015 and was a success. It is great to be able to support the young leaders in our community and wish them all the best in the future.
